The midfielder has come up against some of the best players in the world, and has picked legends from Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United
Having played for Arsenal, Barcelona, Spain and Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas has come up against some of the best midfielders in the world.
And the 28-year-old has named the sixth toughest midfield opponents he has faced at a Q&A session in association with Facebook and the New Horizons charity.
Fabregas has picked three former Barcelona team-mates, an Arsenal legend, and two Manchester United stars from his time playing for the Gunners.
"When I was at Arsenal we played against Barcelona. Obviously against Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta it was difficult," Fabregas said. "[Lionel] Messi as well, playing as a false nine and coming deep.
"Patrick Vieira against France and Juventus was a great experience for me. Roy Keane and Paul Scholes as well, playing against those two legends was fantastic for me."
Fabregas also named Messi as '100 per cent' the best player he has played with, and said Thierry Henry, who was also in attendance at the Q&A, is in his top three.
