This is a bit a left-field choice from Fifa - the man who will co-present the upcoming Ballon d’Or gala is James Nesbitt.
The 50-year-old actor, who is a Manchester United supporter, is best known for his leading role in the British comedy-drama series Cold Feet, while he also starred as a dwarf called Bofur in The Hobbit trilogy.
Nesbitt will be joined at the awards show on January 11 by Kate Abdo, who will be co-presenting for the second year running.
Abdo, who is fluent in English, French, German and Spanish, is a regular on Sky Sports News and led FOX Sports' coverage of the Women's World Cup earlier thi
