The Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is wanted by Swedish coach Sven Goran Eriksson at Chinese club, Shanghai SIPG.
According to UK Daily Mail, Shanghai SIPG is willing to offer £6million for Mikel plus wages of £60,000 a week after tax.
Mikel has been very crucial in Guus Hiddink-led Chelsea.
Chinese club Shanghai SIPG is willing to offer £6million for Mikel plus wages of £60,000 a week after tax.
He is presently undergoing a revival under interim Chelsea boss, a situation that has triggered the interest of Shanghai SIPG.
Mikel has been at Chelsea since 2006 and has been linked with an exit a number of times.
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had noted on the Club’s pre-season trip, that duo of John Obi Mikel and John Terry are now the only players who bridge the gap between his trophy-laden first and second spells as Chelsea manager and acknowledges that having a serial winner like Mikel around the group can only be beneficial.
Mikel completed 91% of his passes in his 18 appearances last season, but only won 16 out of 47 attempted tackles and averaged just two defensive actions per game for the Blues.
